High Efficiency Air Outlet (HEPA Air Outlet): Terminal Clean Air Diffuser

The high efficiency air outlet (HEPA air outlet) is a terminal air-supply device in cleanroom HVAC purification systems. Ceiling-mounted, it houses a high-efficiency filter and delivers treated clean air uniformly into the room — an economical alternative to full FFU coverage for ISO Class 6–8 areas.

It integrates with our fan filter unit (FFU), FFU ceiling grid and HEPA supply module (GSM) ranges.

Values shown are standard/representative configurations. Confirm final certified figures (airflow, filter integrity) against the project datasheet before specification — Wonclean issues a stamped datasheet with every quotation.

02 — Construction

High Efficiency Air Outlet Construction

The low-shear diffuser geometry is the engineering secret. A dual-seal gasket and ceramic-coated stainless pivots deliver laminar guidance and long-term integrity, while a low-profile housing preserves headroom and field-replaceable wear parts need only two hex keys.

01
Diffuser face — Anodized aluminum or electropolished 316L stainless steel for laminar, low-shear discharge.
02
HEPA/ULPA filter — H13/H14 or U15/U16 filter retaining ≥ 99.99% of particles at 0.3 µm.
03
Integrated damper — Adjustable damper sets face velocity from 0.25–0.45 m/s with ≥ 90% uniformity.
04
Dual-seal & pivots — Dual-seal gasket (20,000 h+) and ceramic-coated pivots eliminate polymer creep.
03 — Why Specify It

Why Choose Our High Efficiency Air Outlet

Laminar, low-shear airflow

High-velocity, low-shear discharge with ≥ 90% uniformity for stable ISO Class 3–8 performance.

Long-life sealing

Dual-seal gasket system maintains integrity beyond 20,000 operating hours.

No polymer creep

Ceramic-coated stainless pivots eliminate polymer creep for lasting damper accuracy.

Headroom-saving

Low-profile housing preserves headroom above critical infrastructure.

Fast field service

Field-replaceable wear components need only two hex keys — no proprietary tools.

VHP-compatible

Resistant to vaporized hydrogen peroxide decontamination per SEMI F21 and ASHRAE 129.

Why is rotating during the shower cycle important?

Standing still creates purification "dead spots" where airflow cannot reach areas like back, underarms, and knees. Active rotation (at least one full turn) with arm movements ensures complete surface exposure
